Rabbi Anchelle & Bluma Perl

Our spiritual leaders are Rabbi Anchelle & Bluma Perl. The Rabbi and his wife have been our leaders since 1990. Together they have helped build our membership and revitalize our synagogue and community. They have made a tremendous impact upon our congregation and community.

Rabbi Anchelle & Bluma Perl are Chabad Emissaries. The rabbi also is the director of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education in Nassau County, Chaplain to NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island, and the Nassau County Correctional Center in East Meadow NY.

Rabbi Perl was born in London England. He was educated at the Lubavitch Yeshiva in Brunoy France and received his Semicha Ordination at the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva in Brooklyn NY.

Chabad of Mineola

Our History

Congregation Beth Sholom has served the Jewish families of Mineola since 1930.

  1. 1930

    Congregation Beth Sholom is established in Mineola, the seat of Nassau County.

  2. 1945

    The synagogue building at the corner of Willis and Washington Avenues is built.

  3. 1990

    Rabbi Anchelle & Bluma Perl become the congregation’s spiritual leaders, and together help build its membership and revitalize the synagogue and community.

Hospital & Eruv

NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island (formerly Winthrop) is a 10-minute walk from Congregation Beth Sholom Chabad.

Directions from the hospital

  1. Head east on 1st Street towards Mineola Ave.
  2. Turn left onto Mineola Ave.
  3. Turn right onto Washington Ave.
  4. The shul will be on your right, at the end of the block, on the corner of Willis Ave and Washington Ave.
